While softer and less effective than steel weapons, copper weapons are often used for decorative or ceremonial weapons though they are also known for their conductive properties. It can also be used to make metal armors, again usually for decorative or ceremonial purposes.

When used in weapons the wielder takes a -1 penalty damage rolls, due to the softer metal. If the weapon is enchanted or otherwise able to deal electric damage, the conductive metal of the weapon allows it to deal an additional 1d4 points of electric damage. When used in armors the armor bonus is reduced by 1 (min 1.), though the wearer gains a +2 circumstance bonus on saving throws against spells and effects with the Electricity descriptor.

Copper can be used in place of other metals, but a non-metal item, such as a quarter staff, cannot be made out if copper.

Copper has 30 hit points per inch of thickness and hardness 7.
